In a scathing attack, Karnataka's Housing Minister, BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan, has accused former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai of failing to contribute to the development of the Shiggaon assembly constituency. Speaking while campaigning for Congress candidate Yaseer Khan Pathan, Khan criticized Bommai's tenure as ineffective, particularly in infrastructure improvements in Shiggaon.

Highlighting perceived failures, Khan argued that Bommai, despite his leadership role, left roads and village conditions unimproved, questioning the prospects of future developments under similar leadership. He challenged Bommai's housing initiatives, offering to retire from politics if Bommai could prove he provided homes for the poor during his term.

Khan further accused the BJP of leveraging Hindu-Muslim issues to gain votes instead of focusing on development. He contrasted this with Congress's fulfillment of election promises, including a significant housing initiative for the poor, and expressed confidence in Congress winning the Shiggaon seat, emphasizing unity and collaboration within the party.
