Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, addressed a rally in Bihar urging citizens to stop voting based on caste ('jaat') or for free rations ('bhaat'). His remarks were made in light of an upcoming by-poll in the Ramgarh assembly segment.
Kishor, known for his political strategy work, criticized former Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar, accusing them of keeping Bihar ensnared in caste politics for decades. He also blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government for exploiting voters with free rations.
The Jan Suraaj party, facing its first electoral test, seeks to challenge political traditions in Bihar, where the BJP and RJD are forefront contenders in the upcoming assembly by-polls.
