Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accused the Congress party of attempting to undermine the electoral process, following the Election Commission's dismissal of the party's rigging allegations. Saini's remarks were made during the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' oath-taking ceremony at the Haryana Civil Secretariat.
Saini criticized Congress, claiming the party was raising unwarranted doubts about the election's integrity, stating that it lacked ground presence despite claims of a strong party wave. The Congress had contested the results after the BJP secured 48 out of 90 seats in the recent assembly elections, while Congress obtained 37 seats.
The Election Commission's eight-page letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge dismissed the party's claims as frivolous, warning that such allegations could disrupt electoral processes. Saini also paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasizing the leader's role in national unity and urged the public to maintain the nation's integrity.
