Pappu Yadav, an Independent Member of Parliament from Bihar's Purnia, has declared that he remains unafraid despite receiving death threats allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threats reportedly stem from Yadav's outspoken stance against the gang. Emphasizing his resolve, Yadav stated, "I am not afraid of anyone. I just do my work and do not interfere in anyone's personal life. I am afraid only of God who is our public."

Despite the escalating threat level, Yadav has asked the government to disregard his previous request for heightened security. He believes his safety lies within the community support, asserting, "I have also told the government to remove my security. My public will provide me with security." Following a threat call from Malaysia, he dutifully informed law enforcement officials but maintained his stance on declining additional protection.

The situation has prompted a letter from Yadav to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, expressing the urgency following the threats linked to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Criticism of the Gujarat jail administration by Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Misa Bharti further highlights concerns over Lawrence Bishnoi's influence even while imprisoned, questioning the effectiveness of the jail's security measures.
