Maharashtra's political arena heated up on Tuesday as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule officially entered the fray for the upcoming assembly elections. Accompanying him was Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who addressed the media, underscoring the considerable public interest in the nomination proceedings at Kamthi Assembly constituency.
Deputy CM Fadnavis expressed optimism about Bawankule's prospects, predicting a landslide victory. He emphasized the return of the Mahayuti government, while Bawankule acknowledged the high responsibility bestowed upon him and refuted any seat-sharing disputes within the alliance.
Simultaneously, Congress candidate Nitin Raut from Nagpur North highlighted the election's challenges, promising inclusive representation. As the electoral stage is set, with 4,426 nominations filed across 288 constituencies, the political pulse of Maharashtra intensifies ahead of the November elections.
