Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has launched a scathing attack on the BJP, particularly focusing on the 'triple engine government' in Maharashtra. He alleges the government, which he claims secured power via backdoor methods, has led to rising food prices, adversely affecting the common populace.
Addressing voters, Kharge emphasized the inflationary pressures imposed by the BJP and highlighted that food items, including a typical vegetarian thali, have seen dramatic price hikes. He detailed that since last year, tomato prices have surged by 247% and garlic by 128%, while overall vegetable prices have risen by 89%.
Kharge urged the people of Maharashtra to open the 'farewell doors' for the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for November 20. The vote count will follow on November 23, the day before the current assembly's tenure concludes.
