In a significant development ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced that seat-sharing discussions are almost concluded, with just 11 out of 288 seats left undecided. Pawar revealed that intense deliberations took place in Delhi, emphasizing the efforts to make optimal decisions.
Pawar also issued a caution to media outlets, urging them to verify information before publication. He stressed the ongoing nature of discussions, advising against premature conclusions regarding candidate selections. The phased approach, he noted, requires patience until official announcements are made.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has bolstered its election strategy by releasing a second candidate list, marking a strategic move to strengthen its presence. Noteworthy candidates include Sana Malik and Zeeshan Siddiqui, alongside former BJP leaders Nishikant Patil and Sanjaykaka Ramchandra Patil, who have transitioned to the NCP camp.
Prominent figures such as Sunil Tingre, Dnyaneshwar (Mauli) Katke, and Pratap Patil Chikhlikar also feature in the candidate lineup. With the Maharashtra elections slated for November 20 and counting on November 23, the political landscape is rapidly evolving as parties finalize their strategies and alignments in the crucial state battle.
