Amid ongoing discussions, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar stated that talks within the ruling Mahayuti alliance are focused on 11 of the 288 assembly seats for the upcoming November 20 elections.
Pawar, emphasizing the importance of minority representation, announced that 10% of the seats allotted to his party would be reserved for minority candidates. "While some candidate names have been announced, discussions are still underway for 11 seats," said Pawar, acknowledging the challenge of satisfying all parties involved.
In the run-up to elections, the BJP has revealed a list of 99 candidates, while the NCP and Shiv Sena have declared nominees for 45 constituencies each. The Mahayuti coalition, comprising the BJP, NCP, and Shiv Sena, maneuvers strategically as it prepares for the November 20 elections, followed by vote counting on November 23.
