Karnataka's Political Turmoil: ED's MUDA Probe Intensifies

In a significant development, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara has urged patience following the Enforcement Directorate's summons to Mysuru Urban Development Authority officials. Highlighting the need for a comprehensive inquiry, he stressed that jumping to conclusions is premature. "It is a process in motion," he noted, as the ED meticulously examines the situation, gathering opinions and feedback before deriving conclusions.

The controversy unfolds as the ED calls upon six MUDA employees for questioning. This follows closely on the heels of a money-laundering case lodged against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, triggered by a state Lokayukta FIR. Investigators are scrutinizing documents potentially linked to Siddaramaiah, his family, and close associates, intensifying the political climate.

The allegations include improper land transactions involving Siddaramaiah's family members. However, Siddaramaiah has decried these accusations as political vendetta and steadfastly refused to relinquish his position. Meanwhile, the political tussle continues with Parameshwara dismissing the NDA's claims about Congress's candidate strategies in Channapatna, reaffirming resolve to win the constituency.
