In a biting critique against BJP's in-charge for Jharkhand assembly elections, Chief Minister Hemant Soren labeled Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma as a 'Pravaasi' CM. Soren suggested that Sarma and other BJP leaders would only be present for the elections and vanish thereafter.
After filing his nomination from the Barhait Assembly constituency, Soren noted that both he and his party, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, are focused on their electoral responsibilities. Simultaneously, Kalpana Soren, Hemant's wife, submitted her nomination for the Gandey Assembly constituency, a seat she currently represents.
Sarma, participating in the campaign from Jamshedpur, criticized the existing state leadership and expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance, under PM Modi, would secure victory, estimating a win of up to 81 seats in a charged electoral environment.
