Union minister and RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary criticized the Samajwadi Party's latest electoral strategy as a 'face-saving' effort by the opposition. The party announced that candidates from the INDIA bloc will contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh bypolls using its election symbol.

SP president Akhilesh Yadav confirmed that all nine seats in the assembly bypolls would be contested under the party's 'cycle' symbol, sidestepping any seat-sharing dynamics for a collective push towards victory.

The bypolls, featuring constituencies like Ghaziabad and Phulpur, are scheduled for November 13, with results anticipated by November 23, marking a significant political maneuver in the state's electoral landscape.
