The Peasants and Workers Party (PWP), a part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra, voiced its dissatisfaction upon learning that the Shiv Sena (UBT) had announced candidates for the Uran, Sangola, and Loha assembly constituencies.
PWP leader Jayant Patil stressed the party's intention to discuss the issue with Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar, given PWP's prior claims to these seats. Despite the announcement, discussions continue on the broader seat-sharing plan within the ruling coalition.
Patil highlighted the PWP's strategic contribution to previous election victories and is pressing for a total of six seats within the alliance. Similarly, the Samajwadi Party's leadership remains in the dark about ongoing seat-sharing negotiations, awaiting further communication.
