In a unique arrangement, Wayanad constituency is set to have two parliamentary representatives, according to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. On Wednesday, he declared that both he and his sister Priyanka Gandhi would be serving Wayanad with him as an unofficial MP.
During a public meeting in Kalpetta, Rahul Gandhi appealed to locals to extend the same care and support to Priyanka as they had shown him. Rahul explained his sister made the Rakhi he wore, symbolizing sibling protection, urging people to safeguard Priyanka’s interests.
Priyanka Gandhi is entering the political race for the upcoming Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll, opposing LDF's Sathyan Mokeri and BJP's Navya Haridas. Rahul stated his sister would pour her energy into Wayanad's issues. Voting is scheduled for November 13.
