JMM Unveils Second Candidate List for Jharkhand Polls
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has released its second list of candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections. Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji will contest from Ranchi. Maji has previously held significant positions within the JMM and the Jharkhand State Commission for Women.

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) announced its second list of candidates on Wednesday for the forthcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, highlighting the candidacy of Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji from Ranchi.
Maji, who secured a Rajya Sabha seat unopposed in June 2022, formerly led the Jharkhand State Commission for Women and was the past president of the JMM's women's wing. Despite previous unsuccessful bids in 2014 and 2019 for the Ranchi Assembly seat, Maji remains a prominent figure.
Earlier, the JMM had unveiled a list of 35 candidates, featuring Chief Minister Hemant Soren for Barhait and Kalpana Soren for Gandey, as the state prepares for the assembly elections scheduled in two phases on November 13 and 20, with the results to be declared on November 23.
