In a strategic move, Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party has switched candidates for two of the four Bihar assembly seats slated for by-polls. The announcement was made on Wednesday, just days before the filing deadline.
At a press conference held in Arrah, party representatives disclosed that social activist Kiran Singh would replace Lieutenant General Shri Krishna Singh (Retd) for Tarari, while academician Khilafat Hussain would step aside for former panchayat mukhiya Mohd Amjad in Belaganj.
Kishor expressed confidence in the newly chosen candidates despite challenges posed by the electoral system favoring established parties. He underscored Jan Suraaj's promise of entering common citizens dedicated to social causes, differentiating them from the political dynasties of established blocs.
