The political landscape in Madhya Pradesh heats up as Congress and BJP announce their candidates for the forthcoming assembly bypolls in Budhni and Vijaypur. Former minister Rajkumar Patel has been selected to represent the Congress in Budhni, while tribal leader Mukesh Malhotra will contest from Vijaypur.
The BJP counters with former MP Ramakant Bhargava for the Budhni seat, and ex-Congress leader Ramniwas Rawat in Vijaypur. Rawat, who previously served as Congress nominee, joined BJP and became a cabinet minister, prompting the Vijaypur bypoll necessity.
Voters in both constituencies will head to the polls on November 13, with results declared on November 23. Budhni faces an election due to Shivraj Singh Chouhan's resignation after his Lok Sabha victory. The voting demographic includes over half a million eligible voters across these key districts.
