Top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed gratitude on Sunday for being nominated as candidates in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Leading the expressions of thanks, Madhuri Misal, a candidate from Parvati constituency who has been nominated for the fourth consecutive time, expressed her gratitude to the party leadership, underscoring her commitment to secure a decisive victory in the constituency.
Echoing similar sentiments, Manda Vijay Mhatre, set to contest from Belapur constituency, also extended her gratitude to both the party's high command and the leaders including Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Having been nominated for the third time, Mhatre vowed to complete the unfinished tasks in her constituency while trusting the electorate's continued support.
The BJP has unveiled its first slate of 99 candidates for the elections, with Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis running in Nagpur South West, and state BJP president Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule contesting from Kamthi. Other prominent candidates include Girish Mahajan, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Sreejaya Ashok Chavan, Ashish Shelar, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Rahul Narwekar, and Chhatrapati Shivendra Raje Bhosale. As part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance, the BJP eyes consolidating its electoral gains in Maharashtra's 288-seat assembly.
