In a fierce political face-off, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Mahua Maji launched a vehement attack against the BJP. She asserted that the saffron party is struggling to field a candidate against Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the Barhait assembly seat.
The BJP, which released its first list of 66 candidates for the forthcoming Jharkhand elections, has yet to announce candidates for the Barhait and Tundi seats. According to the recent NDA seat-sharing arrangement, the BJP will contest 68 seats, while its allies AJSU Party, JD (U), and LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest the rest.
Maji accused the BJP of unethical political strategies, including offering tickets to former JMM leaders and engaging in dynastic politics. She expressed interest in contesting from the Ranchi assembly seat against BJP's MLA CP Singh, criticizing the BJP's representation in the region.
