Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati announced on Tuesday her party's decision to contest independently in upcoming state elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, along with byelections for nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh.
In a series of social media posts, Mayawati expressed satisfaction with the poll schedules and stressed the Election Commission's duty to conduct timely, fair elections free from financial and physical influence.
The BSP's solo quests in these elections aim to unify its supporters, striving to uphold B R Ambedkar's vision by pursuing political power while ensuring the dignity and self-respect of its constituency.
