Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that the seat-sharing agreements among NDA allies for Jharkhand's assembly elections are nearing completion. The official candidate list is set to be published within 48 hours of the Election Commission's green light.

The seat-sharing deal grants Sudesh Mahto's AJSU Party 9-11 seats, while Nitish Kumar's JD(U) will contest in two constituencies. Talks with LJP leader Chirag Paswan are scheduled post his return from abroad.

Sarma assured that most candidate decisions are finalized, except for a few pending seats. The election committee is convening again to finalize these matters, with formal parliamentary board discussions to follow.
