Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent RJD leader and former deputy chief minister of Bihar, expressed deep shock over the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai on Sunday. He remarked that the event sheds light on what he described as the deteriorating law and order situation in Maharashtra.

Siddique, aged 66, was reportedly ambushed by three individuals at Kher Nagar, outside the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique in Mumbai's Bandra area, and was fatally shot on Saturday night. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.

Yadav, who had known Siddique personally due to the latter's roots in Bihar's Gopalganj district, emphasized, "The incident is shocking and saddening. If such an attack can happen in a place like Mumbai, particularly in Bandra, it raises serious concerns about public safety." He extended his condolences to Siddique's family in these trying times.
