Trump Edges Harris in Battleground Polls on War Issues
A Wall Street Journal poll reveals former President Donald Trump has a lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in battleground states concerning the Ukraine and Middle East wars. Despite being tied overall, Trump leads in handling war-related issues, while Harris is favored in areas like healthcare.
In a notable Wall Street Journal opinion poll, former Republican President Donald Trump is seen as more capable than Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in navigating the nation through ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. The poll highlights a tight race in seven crucial battleground states.
The survey, conducted among 600 registered voters per state from Sept. 28 to Oct. 8, shows Harris with slim advantages in Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan, while Trump leads in Nevada and Pennsylvania. Both candidates are tied in North Carolina and Wisconsin, suggesting an evenly matched race before the upcoming election.
An additional Reuters/Ipsos poll confirms a close national contest, with Harris slightly leading. However, Trump's significant edge in handling war issues could influence the seven swing states' pivotal impact on the Electoral College outcome, underscoring critical voter concerns on economy and immigration.
