Union Minister G Kishan Reddy announced on Friday that the central government will address the issue of restoring Jammu and Kashmir's statehood at the appropriate time.

Reddy emphasized that while statehood discussions are ongoing, Article 370 will remain abolished. This statement came in response to a National Conference inquiry during an interaction with media personnel.

Highlighting the central government’s success, Reddy noted the smooth conduction of Jammu and Kashmir elections without the need for a repoll, crediting the BJP's performance with securing more seats than previously. Voter turnout was remarkably higher than in Hyderabad. In a separate statement, he criticized the Telangana government's handling of the Musi river rejuvenation, particularly the demolition of poor people's homes.
