The Congress government in Karnataka has accused opposition parties, namely the BJP and JD(S), of attempting to destabilize the state with malicious intentions. This accusation comes amid ongoing criticisms over the alleged MUDA scam involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
In a full-page newspaper advertisement published on the occasion of 'Vijayadashami', the government expressed wishes for the festival emphasizing that good triumphs over evil. It called for the strength to combat forces of deceit and chaos in the state.
Highlighting nine 'modern-day evils', the government aimed to counter opposition leaders such as Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, who criticized the current regime's alleged corruption. In response, Siddaramaiah dismissed these allegations, taking a jab at former CM B S Yediyurappa's legal controversies.
