Bharat Rashtra Samithi's working president, KT Rama Rao, has escalated his ongoing feud with Minister Konda Surekha by filing a criminal defamation case, his office announced on Thursday. The case was filed in Nampally Court, citing the minister's persistent, harmful allegations aimed at damaging KTR's reputation.

According to the press release, KTR has been forced to take legal action after Surekha ignored a prior legal notice demanding a public apology for her defamatory statements. The notice labeled her comments as baseless and malicious. KTR maintained that the remarks not only target him personally but also undermine his professional stature.

The controversy stretches back to earlier incidents where Konda Surekha was criticized by the Election Commission for similar misconducts. KTR argues these actions manifest a deliberate campaign to tarnish his image. The case highlights Surekha's recent controversial comments linking KTR to the divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, sparking widespread public intrigue.
