On Thursday, Akhilesh Yadav, chief of the Samajwadi Party (SP), commemorated the second death anniversary of his father and party founder, Mulayam Singh Yadav, in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. In a heartfelt tribute, Akhilesh highlighted 'Netaji's' enduring legacy of connecting people through socialist ideology.
Speaking at the memorial in Saifai, Akhilesh reiterated the party's commitment to advancing Mulayam Singh Yadav's principles. Known as 'Dharti Putra' for his grassroots political journey, Mulayam left an indelible mark on society and politics, fostering awareness at various societal levels.
The gathering saw the presence of key family members and party leaders, including Mulayam's younger brother, Shivpal Singh Yadav, who praised 'Netaji's' contribution to spreading Ram Manohar Lohia's socialism. The memorial, adorned with flowers and party flags, stood as a symbol of the SP's pledge to uphold his legacy.
