Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday pointed fingers at Congress' overconfidence as a major factor in its recent electoral defeat in Haryana, according to Sanjay Raut, a Member of Parliament from Shiv Sena (UBT).
Raut critiqued the Congress for its inconsistent strategy regarding alliances, pointing out that while Congress seeks regional party support in weaker regions, it neglects such alliances in its strongholds. This strategy, he hinted, may have contributed to BJP's victory in Haryana for a third consecutive term.
Drawing lessons from this situation, Raut urged the INDIA alliance to nominate a chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Maharashtra elections. He asserted that an established leader could be the key to success, emphasizing past election trends where a clear leadership face swayed voters decisively.
