The Jammu and Kashmir Congress, under chief Tariq Hameed Karra, is set to introspect following its lackluster performance in the assembly polls. Karra highlighted alleged administrative oversights and deliberate actions affecting the polls.
He emphasized voter opposition to BJP's divisive politics as a key factor, and assured continued efforts towards statehood restoration. Despite a successful coalition with National Conference post-Article 370 abrogation, Congress fell short in individual standings, securing only one seat in Jammu region.
Karra, along with JKPCC's Bharat Solanki, met Abdullahs to congratulate them, stating discussions on government formation are yet to commence. Congress aims for granular feedback to analyze the electoral setback, indicating a thorough review of its alliance strategy and overall approach.
