The Samajwadi Party is gearing up for crucial by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, unveiling candidates for six of the ten assembly seats in play. This announcement comes shortly after the assembly poll results in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.
Among the candidates selected, Tej Pratap Yadav will compete in Karhal, while Naseem Solanki attempts a win in Sisamau. Mustafa Siddiqui, Ajit Prasad, Shobhawai Verma, and Jyodi Bind are also in the fray for their respective seats, all aiming to fortify the party's presence.
The by-elections, critical for both local and national political dynamics, include constituencies like Katehari, Karhal, and Milkipur, among others. The SP aims to join forces with the Congress, although past disagreements linger post-Haryana elections.
