Mayawati Blames Casteism for Poor BSP-INLD Poll Show in Haryana
BSP chief Mayawati has criticized the casteist tendencies of Haryana's Jat community, attributing them as a leading cause for the BSP-INLD alliance's poor performance in state elections. Despite securing Dalit votes, their alliance failed to gain Jat support, which shifted predominantly to Congress and BJP.

BSP leader Mayawati slammed the caste-based biases of Haryana's Jat community, suggesting these biases hindered the BSP-INLD coalition's success in recent state elections.
Speaking at a New Delhi press conference, she highlighted that except for a few seats, the alliance struggled to gain Jat votes due to a deeply rooted casteist outlook.
Mayawati attributed the BJP's electoral triumph to internal conflicts within the Chautala family, which splintered Jat votes, steering them towards the BJP. This division left BSP's Dalit votes with INLD but failed to bridge the community gap for broader support.
