In a bid to enhance the developmental trajectory of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held strategic meetings with Union Ministers, including Amit Shah and Nirmala Sitharaman, on Tuesday. Discussions with Finance Minister Sitharaman and Minister of Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy centered on a potential merger between Visakha Steel Plant and the Steel Authority of India, as per informed sources.
Earlier this week, CM Naidu met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing gratitude for the central government's approval of the revised cost estimates for the Polavaram Project and support for the capital city, Amaravati. The Chief Minister emphasized the alignment of Andhra Pradesh's developmental vision with the central government's Viksit Bharat@2047, aiming to transform the state into a $2.4 trillion economy.
Monday also saw Naidu's interaction with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, where he thanked him for progress on establishing a Railway Zone in Vizag. Naidu's visit underscores efforts to secure central backing for infrastructure projects. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh launched India's first skill census pilot project in Mangalagiri, surveying over 1 lakh families to assess skill levels.
