BSP chief Mayawati has criticized the Jat community in Haryana following the recent state assembly election results. She attributed the Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) poor performance to the casteist tendencies prevalent within this group.
The BSP, in alliance with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), faced a tough competition, while the BJP secured a sweeping victory for the third consecutive time with 48 seats. Despite their efforts, the BSP and its ally INLD secured a meager vote share of 1.82% and 4.14%, respectively.
Mayawati urged the Jat community in Haryana to emulate their counterparts in Uttar Pradesh, who have transitioned away from such casteist attitudes. She thanked party members for their dedication and encouraged them to remain hopeful for the future.
