Close Contest: BJP and Congress Neck-and-Neck in Vote Share
In a closely contested assembly polls, the BJP secured a simple majority with 39.94% vote share, narrowly surpassing Congress's 39.09%. Despite gaining a significant vote share increase, the Congress won 37 seats compared to BJP's 48, marking BJP's third consecutive government in the state.

The latest assembly polls witnessed a fierce contest between the BJP and Congress, with both parties garnering near-equal vote shares. The BJP managed to secure 39.94% of the votes, narrowly leading Congress's 39.09%, allowing it to form a government for the third consecutive term.
Despite predictions favoring the Congress, the party experienced a significant 11 percentage point jump in its vote share, securing 37 seats, while the BJP recorded a three percentage point increase, winning 48 seats. This historic victory grants the BJP its third straight government in the state.
Other parties such as INLD, JJP, and AAP lagged behind, with INLD managing to win two seats and independent candidates claiming three. The JJP experienced a significant decline in vote share, while AAP, part of the INDIA bloc, secured only 1.79% of the votes.
