In a historic victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy announced on Tuesday that the people of Jammu have demonstrated a strong preference for the BJP in the recent assembly polls, declaring the region 'Congress-mukt' once again.
The BJP achieved its highest ever tally in the Jammu and Kashmir elections, as emphasized by Reddy. The minister highlighted that the election results in both Haryana and J&K underscore the electorate's faith in Prime Minister Modi's leadership.
The BJP secured 29 out of 43 seats in the Jammu region, with the Congress managing to claim just one seat. Reddy commended the efforts of the BJP leaders in the Union Territory, noting their hard work under the central guidance and affirming the party's commitment to the progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
