The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has hailed its recent electoral success in Haryana as 'historic.' The party secured 48 out of 90 assembly seats, crossing the halfway mark, according to the Election Commission's website. The win is viewed as a reaffirmation of the people's trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his governance policies.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference-Congress alliance emerged victorious by winning 48 seats, but the BJP made significant strides, securing 29 seats and achieving the highest vote share of 25.6 percent. Despite not claiming victory, BJP leaders expressed their satisfaction with the outcome, attributing it to the party's development-focused agenda.
Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, applauded the election's peaceful conduct, the first of its kind since the onset of terrorism in the 1980s, and expressed gratitude for the successful democratic process. He underscored BJP's commitment to making Jammu and Kashmir terror-free while maintaining its development and welfare policies under Modi's stewardship.
