Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar reiterated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will remain in position, dismissing speculation about a leadership change. This comes amid opposition demands for Siddaramaiah's resignation following allegations in the MUDA case.
Shivakumar, also the state Congress president, downplayed the possibility of Congress discussing the issue or seeking meetings about it. He emphasized that investigations are ongoing and unrelated to the chief minister's role, urging patience and discretion.
Amidst reports of a 'rotational chief minister formula,' Shivakumar highlighted that the Congress government, including Siddaramaiah, remains stable. The remarks came amid ongoing Lokayukta and ED probes into alleged MUDA site allocation irregularities involving Siddaramaiah's family.
