The recent Haryana assembly polls will not have any bearing on the upcoming elections in Maharashtra, according to Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi. While addressing the media on Tuesday, Chaturvedi mentioned that, though the contest remains challenging for both the opposition and ruling coalition in Maharashtra, issues in both states remain distinct.

Corruption was not a significant theme in Haryana's elections, allowing the BJP to potentially form a government for the third consecutive time. Conversely, Maharashtra grapples with industrial projects leaving the state and rising unemployment. Chaturvedi also criticized the ruling coalition for being in power through controversial means and noted that the public is discontent with the division within political parties.

In another statement, NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule shared her astonishment at the Haryana results while acknowledging voter support for the National Conference in Jammu & Kashmir. With slow progress in vote counting and narrow victory margins in Haryana, she expected clarity in the results soon.
