Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has expressed optimism that the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) success in delivering development and good governance in Haryana can be mirrored in Jharkhand's upcoming assembly elections. Meghwal's remarks came in Ranchi, where he spoke to students of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee University on Viksit Bharat, underlining the party's agenda.
Meghwal emphasized the party's clear-cut agenda of development and governance that succeeded in Haryana, hinting at similar prospects in Jharkhand. "BJP's development and good governance mantra worked in Haryana and the same would be repeated in Jharkhand," Meghwal stated, while briefing reporters at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport.
Echoing Meghwal's sentiment, BJP MLA and Leader of the Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly, Amar Kumar Bauri, praised the party's performance in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. He highlighted the populace's mandate supporting development, despite opposition attempts to sway public opinion. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Champai Soren underscored BJP's electoral strength, predicting a similar trajectory in Jharkhand.
