In a fiercely contested election, BJP's Devender Chatar Bhuj Attri emerged victorious in the Uchana Kalan seat in Haryana, securing his win by a razor-thin margin of just 32 votes, according to the Election Commission.
Attri faced a stiff challenge from his nearest rival, Congress candidate Brijendra Singh, a former IAS officer and son of ex-union minister Birender Singh, who garnered 48,936 votes.
Jannayak Janta Party leader and former MLA Dushyant Chautala, meanwhile, saw a significant drop in support, finishing fifth with only 7,950 votes. Vote counting on October 5 was a pivotal moment for the Haryana assembly election.
