BJP Emerges Victorious in Haryana, Congress Close Behind
In Haryana's assembly elections, BJP won 31 seats while Congress secured 30 seats out of 90 total constituencies. Two independent candidates also emerged victorious. The ruling BJP has emerged victorious in the Haryana assembly elections, securing 31 seats, just one more than their main competitors, the Congress, who won 30 seats out of the total 90 constituencies, according to the Election Commission.
Additionally, two independent candidates claimed victories in their respective constituencies, showing diversity in voter preference. The BJP was leading in 18 seats and the Congress in 6, with the Indian National Lok Dal leading in two constituencies, and one independent candidate also showing a lead.
Notable winners included the state's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, along with Congress's Bhupinder Singh Hooda and other key figures such as Vinesh Phogat, Aditya Surjewala, and Independent candidate Savitri Jindal. Among the defeated candidates were Haryana speaker Gian Chand Gupta and INLD's Abhay Singh Chautala.
