As Haryana's election trends forecast a Congress defeat, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray has pledged support for the Chief Ministerial candidate chosen by alliance partners Congress and the Sharad Pawar-led National Congress Party for the Maharashtra Assembly polls. At the Vajra Nirdhar Parishad event, Thackeray underscored the importance of a Maharashtra win for his party.
He urged the Congress or NCP to announce their CM candidate, promising immediate support. Criticizing the Bharatiya Janata Party, Thackeray accused them of attempting constitutional changes and sowing national discord. He condemned BJP for promoting schemes like 'Majhi Ladki Bahin' around election time as mere voter deception.
Thackeray also criticized the BJP's 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas' slogan, renaming it 'Sabka Sath, Dost ka Vikas,' highlighting it as a symbol of BJP's alleged self-interest. Reflecting on Lok Sabha results, he expressed pride in Maharashtra's role in challenging the BJP and reaffirmed Shiv Sena's commitment to Hindutva without aligning with the BJP.
