Union Minister Jitendra Singh has lauded the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for what he described as its best performance yet in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. The BJP has secured 29 seats so far, with Singh suggesting the count could increase as votes continue to be tallied.

"The BJP's performance in this election is outstanding," Singh stated, highlighting that the elections were fought solely on the issues of development. He credited the effectiveness of public welfare schemes introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a key factor in their success, noting the emphasis on reaching out to the people with tangible results.

Singh underscored the party's effort to transcend divisions of caste, religion, and sect, attributing this inclusive campaign to Modi's leadership. Citing programs like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Singh emphasized their universal application irrespective of the beneficiaries' background. He contrasted this approach with that of the opposition's India bloc, which he claimed leaned towards polarisation.

Further addressing the BJP's strategy, Singh promised continued implementation of development schemes to ensure Jammu and Kashmir's vital role in India's growth journey leading to 2047. Although the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leads with 41 seats, the BJP remains steadfast in its traction with 27 seats, according to the Election Commission of India.
