In an important move towards strengthening military support for Ukraine, U.S. President Joe Biden will convene with the leaders of the Ramstein group during his state visit to Germany. A German government source confirmed that this summit, set to occur on Saturday, aims to reinforce the united front against Russian aggression.
Key figures including French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will join Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for strategic talks in Berlin, before proceeding to the U.S. air base in Ramstein. This meeting signifies the first high-level dialogue between the leaders of the group committed to supporting Ukraine through military aid.
Established after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the group comprises around 50 nations dedicated to meeting Kyiv's defense requirements. The gathering aims to send a strong message to Russian President Vladimir Putin that Western support remains unwavering and resistant to his tactics aimed at diminishing it.
