Independent candidate Savitri Jindal has emerged victorious in the Hisar assembly seat election in Haryana, as reported by the Election Commission.
Savitri Jindal, who holds the title of India's richest woman according to Forbes, managed to defeat her closest competitor and Congress candidate, Ram Niwas Rana, by a significant margin of 18,941 votes.
While Jindal amassed a total of 49,231 votes, her opponent from the Congress secured 30,290 votes. The BJP candidate and outgoing MLA, Kamal Gupta, finished in third place with 17,385 votes. This election result is part of the larger counting for 90 seats following the October 5 assembly elections in Haryana.
