The Election Commission has firmly denied allegations made by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh regarding a slowdown in updating Haryana poll results. Ramesh alleged an unexplained delay on the EC's website, urging officials to provide accurate figures to counter misinformation.
In response, the EC stated that vote counting is conducted as per Rule 60 of the Conduct of Election Rules at designated centers with statutory oversight. It assured that the process is monitored by candidates, observers, and micro-observers, thus abiding by the regulations.
The EC emphasized there is no evidence to support Ramesh's claims, highlighting that his memorandum failed to demonstrate any actual delays or discrepancies in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir constituencies.
