Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his delight as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a commanding lead in the Haryana elections, setting the stage for a third consecutive government. Yadav extended congratulations to all BJP leaders, officials, and supporters instrumental in steering the party towards victory.
Reflecting on the win, Yadav credited the last decade of BJP governance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. "The BJP is poised to form a government again in Haryana due to the PM's dynamic approach," Yadav told ANI, acknowledging the roles of Chief Minister Nayab Saini and other regional leaders.
Yadav also criticized Congress and its prominent leader, Rahul Gandhi, asserting that the elections highlighted Gandhi's failures more than party shortcomings. He advocated for a development-focused agenda, which he believes resonated with the public, rallying support and votes for the BJP's flourishing symbol, the lotus.
According to the Election Commission's latest results, BJP led on 48 seats compared to Congress's 37. Notably, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) each led in one seat, with independents pacing in three others.
