As early results suggest a strong lead for the BJP in Haryana, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal has underscored a valuable lesson from these poll trends: the dangers of electoral overconfidence.
BJP appears poised for victory, leading in 50 out of 90 assembly seats. Kejriwal, addressing AAP municipal councillors, stressed that no election should be taken lightly and every seat presents a challenge.
AAP's effort to form a pre-poll alliance with Congress in Haryana fell through over seat-sharing disputes, forcing AAP to independently contest 89 of the 90 seats. Their candidates currently trail behind both BJP and Congress opponents. Meanwhile, Kejriwal has urged party councillors to ensure efficient municipal services in Delhi, ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
