In a recent interview with ANI, Selja emphasized her extensive political experience and influence as reasons she should not be overlooked by the party's high command.
Selja remarked, "Only the high command will have the final say. They will decide on the candidates under consideration, and due to my seniority and work, I believe I will be among them. The high command will evaluate seniority, accomplishments, and the political landscape," she assured.
Amidst rumors suggesting her possible defection to the Bharatiya Janata Party, she categorically dismissed such claims. With conviction, she stated, "I am not leaving Congress.
