In an early morning accident on Friday, the vehicle of Maharashtra Minister and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Rathod collided with a pickup van in Yavatmal district, officials have reported. Fortunately, the minister emerged unscathed as the airbags in his car deployed effectively during the crash.

The incident occurred around 2 am near Kopra village under the Arni police station's jurisdiction, as Rathod was en route from Poharadevi to Yavatmal. The rollover injured the pickup van's driver, who was promptly admitted to a local hospital for medical attention, according to official sources.

At a press briefing in Yavatmal, Rathod stated he was not in the involved vehicle during the collision and ensured the injured driver received timely healthcare. The minister was overseeing preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to inaugurate significant projects in the region.
