In a dramatic protest, Maharashtra assembly Deputy Speaker Narhari Zirwal, along with two other tribal legislators, jumped off the third floor of the Mantralaya building on Friday afternoon, landing safely on security nets below.
The protest sought to challenge the proposed inclusion of the Dhangar community within the existing quota allocated for tribals, a move that has sparked significant contention among tribal representatives.
Authorities confirmed that none of the protesters sustained severe injuries during the incident, allowing the spotlight to remain firmly on the political dispute at its core.
